Apartment & Condo Woodworking

With advancements in cordless technology and, at least in my case, changes in life style, it's time we look at WHERE WE WORK WOOD. We no longer need to have this huge area filled with 110v and 220v power tools. Let's look at combining 18v technology, with "off-the-shelf-lumber" and some of the other approaches discussed on this website to step outside of our workshops...

Woodworking in a Storage Unit

Rented (and Condo ownership) storage units are popping up everywhere. Some have electricity and some don't. Some are climate controlled and others are not. Depending where you live, your projects, your tools and budget a storage unit may be your ideal woodworking venue. We no longer need to have this huge area filled with 110v and 220v power tools. Woodworking At Retail Stores

There are the two major chain stores, Woodcraft and Rockler, and there are single-shop woodworking stores everywhere. There are also lumber retailers, frequently specialty lumber such as hardwoods, reclaimed or ... that have both the space and power tools for woodworking. Many offer hands-on demos, workshops, classes.. while others maybe need simply to be asked to offer workshops...

RV Woodworking

Wheelchair Accessible Woodworking

The woodworking world, until now, has been almost entirely inaccessible to folks in wheelchairs. Having a very good friend in a wheelchair has inspired me to take a good, close look at how woodworking might become more accessible to folks with disabilities. Not any earth-shattering moves or class-action lawsuits, just a few pro-active modifications, some that are already out there but not yet realized.
